We British like to think we understand Americans. I am not so sure. If you are an American reading this (and there are a lot who do) please get to your keyboard and tell me about your experiences in the UK. You will do two things: enlighten me about what Americans think of us, and in so doing enlighten me about Americans. The prize for the best entry is a large KFC bucket for trailer people or a Brooks Brothers shirt for the rest or a romantic weekend at the Bates Motel. (You do do irony, don't you?)
